Realistic?: the move to investment and project work in EU or UK from 6ys TS&accng in the emerging market

I want to find a middle-level position in an industrial company (EU or UK), connected with Investment analysis and Project MNt. I have 9 ACCA papers completed and the following experience: 0.5 year TS and 3years Audit Big4 Moscow + 3 years accounting industry. Is my career expectation realistic?

  • Your move could be possible if you find the right role. The main problem is that you have not completed your ACCA - this would give you much more options and I wouyld advise getting the ACCA completed if possible. If not an option, then go ahead and look for roles. Try and use your background to build on - so look at firms who are focussed on Russia; that way you have value added. Good luck.
