Every great change particularly in the Middle East. But you gotta look young, energetic and show the advantage of your experience and maturity.

The question is why would you want to do IB at 36?

Dont bother....full of Racist old school tie white boys/'men'...your life if they even interview you...which would be unlikely...would be one big nightmare and stress. Not from the job but from your wonderful warm colleagues. I've worked in most of the so called top AAA rated banks...and if I could go back and adviced myself...I would 100% follow a different path. Remember, people will give you all sorts of cock and bull but you have to see the through the propaganda that people try to spread. Good Luck

investment banking i.e. corporate finance, M&A is a dummies game..do you really want to work 16+ hours a day? full of pretentious w***ers who really do not have a life..do consultancy, much better alternative to corporate finance and work/life balance

With respect to Philip007: is life in i-banking really that bad? Reading traders, guns and money I get some insight into the culture. What's the biggest issue? Life is tough in any industry...
