What exactly is the role of an Execution Trader at a Hedge Fund?

Also what are the prospects like from a Junior Execution Trader position?

  • Its actually a varied/stresfull but important role! The execution trader is basically the eyes and ears for the portfolio manager whom as the name suggests is oftening managing a large portfolio of stocks/bonds or whatever and needs someone to feedback flow/market colour news etc and to execute at the best price to avoid slippage and hence improve performance.
