Entry routes for a business graduate with no financial experience?

Interested in working in area of Compliance, have just graduated with a 2:1 in Business Law and Marketing. All the financial positions seem to require experience, which I don't have. What is the best route in?

  • I suggest that you apply for a graduate position at one of the larger banks, indicating that you want to do compliance. This should give you training across all disciplines before specialising in compliance. Also, keep trying the agnecies for entry level compliance roles - the market for compliance people is still strong. Use your network to get introduced to compliance managers and ask them for an opportunity. Good luck.
