Currently working in a big 4 advisory role in NI any advice for moving to IB/Hedge Fund? Extra Qualifications?

Thinking that the CFA may help, and i`m looking down the line as i won`t be ACA qualified until 2009. Keen to move away from Accounting firms and willing to work my way up, just looking some general advice from someone who has done it possibly?

  • get you ACA first times passes, pass CFA exams at the same time. If you are lucky and search hard enough you might get a entry level front office/corporate finance job, or you should at least get a middle office role. Also, what do you want to do in a bank/HF? there are so many roles..
