Just as you were wondering why you didn’t become a partner in a law firm instead of something in financial services, it transpires that law firm chieftains aren’t immune to redundancy either. The Times reports that older partners are being asked to accept a smaller share of the profits or leave and that younger partners are simply being asked to leave. 2,000 jobs are reportedly at risk.
