Welcome to Answers – the online space for you to give and receive advice to help develop your financial markets career.
Got a question about switching sectors, your job prospects, comparative pay packages, or the merits of taking an MBA vs CFA? You'll find answers to these and many more questions about your finance career on Answers.
How ASK works
Enter your question* in the blue ASK panel on the Answers home page and hit 'post question'. Once you have selected a category for your question (and added more details if you wish), hit 'preview' and then 'submit'. Your question will automatically appear on the home page of Answers, and will be open to answers from the community. Each question will remain on the site for 7 days, after which it will be closed to new answers and classed as 'resolved' (if it has received answers).
* only registered users are able to ask questions. If you are not a registered user, you will be taken to the registration form before you can post your question.
Who can ANSWER?
The eFinancialCareers Community. We believe that, by opening questions to answers from the wider eFinancialCareers community of users, questions will receive a much richer mix of answers from other financial markets professionals, from industry experts and guest commentators, from eFinancialCareers editors, who can tell you what we're finding in talking to the banks and, of course, from the employers themselves.
How ANSWER works
You don't have to be a registered user to answer, but it helps. You can answer questions in one of two ways.
1) Click on a question, and enter your answer in the 'Answer this question' panel. If you're a registered user, your answer will go straight onto the site. If you're a non-registered user, your answer will go into a queue to be reviewed by a moderator, who'll release it if suitable onto the site.
2) Alternatively, click on the ANSWER panel on the Answers home page. You'll be presented with a list of questions that need answers – if you spot one you can answer, just click on it and follow the process as for 1) above.
